    Project holder. A non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2012 which, alongside its humanitarian work, develops programmes connecting Croatia and the Croatian diaspora.

  • Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar, Zagreb, Croatia

    The Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar conducts scientific research in the social sciences and humanities, with an emphasis on sociology, psychology, history, theology and philosophy. The institute is divided into 18 centres. It employs a total of 100 staff, 68 of whom hold doctorates.

  • Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies, Zagreb, Croatia

    The Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies is the only research institution in Croatia, and in the wider region, that advances scientific and public understanding of the complexity and reality of migration through systematic and continuous interdisciplinary study of all forms of migration and population mobility. The institute organises and conducts scientific research, publishes the results of its own work as well as that of other researchers in the fields of migration, minority issues and ethnicity, organises academic and professional gatherings on migration, minorities and ethnicity, and gives interested researchers and students from Croatia and abroad access to its library holdings and the opportunity to carry out independent research and to take part in research within the institute's remit.

    The Catholic University of Croatia upholds the highest standards of academic and teaching work while offering distinctive programmes in terms of both content and the Catholic spirit of the university.     The Centre for Research on Croatian Emigration is the leading association in the Republic of Croatia in the field of Croatian emigration and of policy on the proactive return of emigrants to Croatia. The association organises emigration congresses that have gathered eminent scholars and experts from more than 20 countries.

  • Association of Emigrants, Returnees and Immigrants, Zagreb, Croatia

    The Association of Emigrants, Returnees and Immigrants works to establish ties with the descendants of Croats who emigrated decades ago, particularly with young people, for whom it creates dedicated programmes of visits to the homeland and Croatian language learning.

  • Hrvatska uzdanica — association for the promotion of patriotism, Zagreb, Croatia

    Hrvatska uzdanica is an association of Croatian returnees from Australia which has been active in culture and advocacy for many decades. The association organises the Evening of Croatian Returnees in cooperation with the Croatian Heritage Foundation.

    HKD Napredak — Zagreb is part of the Napredak society, which today has a total of 65 affiliated associations active in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Canada and the United States. The Zagreb association has well-developed relations with the overseas branches.

    HKD Napredak Vitez is part of the Napredak society, which today has a total of 65 affiliated associations active in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Canada and the United States. The Vitez association stands out for the large number of cultural activities it runs in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, where the concentration of Croatian emigrants is highest.
